Anna Heckel

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I’m a rising Junior double majoring in Physics and Astronomy-Physics, and am pursuing certificates in Data Science and Math. I joined the Timbie group in the spring of 2023, originally working on the EXCLAIM research to simulate line intensity maps of CII and CO.

As of fall 2023, I’ve been working on instrumentation of the Tianlai radio telescope array, a project aimed at detecting dark energy by measuring the baryon acoustic oscillation features in the large-scale structure power spectrum. Specifically, I’ve been using a combination of CST Microwave Studio and MATLAB to simulate different arrangements and materials for the array.
